About us

As an agency we are a case study in change. In 1986 when we opened our doors it was because we could see that the industry was on the cusp of a revolution.

It was at a time when artwork was created using Rotring pens, Letraset, glue and stat cameras. We came to the realization, startling at the time, that a computer could be used to produce artwork and what is more, do it faster and better.

For years the technology lagged behind our needs and we craved faster computers and more reliable software. But while the methods of producing artwork were changing the nature of marketing itself was changing fundamentally. Basic assumptions about how to build markets and how advertising works were being completely overturned.

Now, looking back we can see how marketing as a discipline has had to reinvent itself. No longer is advertising a cure-all. To be successful these days you need a clear vision and a brand proposition that can be understood instantly. Then there are a myriad of communication channels, many of them new, that can be employed to secure engagement with audiences.

At Beakbane: Smart Brand Communications we harness these new realities. We work with our clients to develop a focused brand proposition, then we develop the words and pictures that get the message across in the blink of an eye. After that we create smart programs to get sales.

What are the constants in what we do? Well there are none, except constant innovation. Every project has to be approached with a fresh eye making it more probable that our clients can stand apart from their competitors and in the long run build sustainable value.
